(юридический принцип, в соответствии с которым лицо, имеющее какое-л. право или обязательство, при определенных условиях может быть заменено другим лицом, принимающим соответствующие права и обязательства; напр., по соглашению сторон может быть произведена замена кредитора: должник договаривается с третьим лицом о погашении его долга перед первоначальным кредитором, в результате чего это третье лицо становится новым кредитором по отношению к должнику)
б) страх. (принцип, в соответствии с которым страховщик, после выплаты им страхового возмещения, имеет право обращать взыскание на третье лицо, полностью или частично несущее ответственность за нанесение ущерба, покрытого страховщиком)
